Citations

I have not been able to document the date of birth and the surname for Mary. My research indicates she was born in 1896 or 1897. I do not know why her grave marker has a birth year of 1888. The cemetery books for Pike County, Illinois, gives the surname Haines, as her maiden name. In the censuses, I find a brother-in-law living with her and Clyde with the last name Ham or Hamm. Being a brother-in-law indicates Mary's maiden name may be Ham.
