     Robert Charles 'Bob' Maine Sr. began military service in May 1978 was a member of HMG 21 in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed at Cherry Point, South Carolina. His military occupation was nicknamed a “Bomb Humper”. He was part of a crew that loaded large bombs onto airplanes. He ended military service in May 1982.
