     Woodrow Dallas Main Sr. began military service in 1941 was a Staff Sgt. with the Fifth Infantry Division during World War II. He served from 1941 to 1945 in Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland with General Patton's Third Army. He ended military service in 1945; was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

     Josephine 'Josie' Main was born on 22 June 1861 at Belton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She married George Nathaniel White, son of Jerry White, on 25 May 1883. Josephine 'Josie' Main died on 22 May 1935 at the home of her daughter, Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 73; I have copy of death certificate and copy of obituary. She was buried on 24 May 1935 at North Sewickley Cemetery, North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; I have picture of grave marker.
     Josephine 'Josie' Main appeared on the census of 15 January 1920 at S.D.22; E.D.80; Sheet 14 B, Ellwood City Borough, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; is age 59, widowed, and is not working. She is with her son, Howard and his family.

     Howard Emmet White was born on 30 June 1883 at Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. He married Gertrude 'Gertie' Piper, daughter of Hiram S. Piper and Susan Unangst, on 12 December 1905. Howard Emmet White married Rachel J. Main, daughter of Jacob Main Jr. and Sarah A. Sanford, on 25 August 1936. Howard Emmet White died on 4 February 1967 at Ellwood City General Hospital, Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at age 83; was found in the Social Security death index last living in Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. I have copy of obituary. He was buried on 7 February 1967 at Locust Grove Cemetery, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
