He and his 2 children are living with his mother Mary. This census is very black where the names are, but it appears Mary's last name may be Johnston. He appeared on the census of 18 January 1920 at S.D.145; E.D.570; Sheet 10 A, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan; is age 56, married to Anna age 41 and Alvin is a supervisor at an auto factory. Four children are living with them. He appeared on the census of 18 April 1930 at E.D. 41-1; S.D. 6; Sheet 4 B, Aurora Precinct, Hamilton County, Nebraska; is age 64, married to Anna and he is farming. This census has Anna being born in Iowa and the ages for both, she and Alvin, are a little off.
