     Benjamin B. Watts was born in 1839 at Lewis County, Kentucky. He married Elizabeth F. Marshall on 10 April 1862 at the home of Smith Marshall. Benjamin B. Watts died on 21 October 1870; as a result of injuries sustained when he was stabbed. The man who stabbed him was found guilty of second degree murder, and received a twenty year prison sentence. He was buried after 21 October 1870 at Slaughton Cemetery, Marshall Township, Louisa County, Iowa.
     Benjamin B. Watts began military service on 21 November 1863 was a Private in Company C., 16th Infantry, during the Civil War. He ended military service on 26 July 1865 at Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia; was discharged from the military due to injuries sustained from a shell. He had a fracture of the spine, the right capula, and impaired motion of the shoulder joint.

     Elizabeth F. Marshall was born on 26 March 1845. She married Benjamin B. Watts on 10 April 1862 at the home of Smith Marshall. Elizabeth F.
