Son of Helen (Chrysup) & Dr. Rufus Henry Main.
Philip was a Colonel in the United States Air Force before he was 30 years of age. He was Commander of Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington before the age of 40. He was awarded a Silver Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross with a number of Oak Leaf Clusters (3 or 4) in World War II. He was at Malta with Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt, etc.
