This page was created to honor the work of R. C. Main. In a time when there were no computers, he did a wonderful job preserving the family history of Susannah (Nye) & Solomon Main. His method was much like the number system used in genealogy software today.

Roscoe Conkling Main, the son of Sarah Lydia (Foote) and Alvin Nye Main is a descendent of Solomon Main. He is, in my opinion, the man who opened the door for all of us to learn about Solomon and his descendants. This page, holds the pictures of his family, including his parents and their parents, and is my way of saying "thank you" to him. On this Web site, we have referred to Roscoe as R. C. Main. All the pictures on this page were shared by descendants of R. C.
