     John Nye was born circa 1826. He died in 1840.

     John Coleman Johnston was born in April 1816 at Pennsylvania. He married Cynthia Jane Nye, daughter of Jordan McDonald Nye and Hannah Plantz, in 1842. John Coleman Johnston died in November 1891 at age 75. He was buried in November 1891 at Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wayne Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
